Reaches the main draw of her second major since the 2020 Australian Open
No. 243-ranked Han Na-rae (Bucheon City Hall, South Korea) 토토사이트 has qualified for the women's singles main draw at the US Open tennis tournament, the last major event of the season.
The 243rd-ranked Korean defeated Elizabeth Mandlick (154th-ranked USA) 2-0 (6-3 7-5) in the third round of women's singles qualifying at the U.S. Open in New York City on Saturday (June 26) to advance to the main draw.
This is the second time in her career she has qualified for a major since the 2020 Australian Open. At that time, Han lost 0-2 (3-6 3-6) to Zidansek Slovenia in the first round of the main draw.
It has been a year and seven months since a South Korean player reached the women's main draw of a major since Jang Soo-ju 스포츠토토 (No. 152-Daegu City Hall) qualified for the Australian Open in January.
Her opponent in the first round of the main draw is yet to be determined.
With Han's addition to the main draw, there will be two South Korean players in the singles draw at the US Open. On the men's side, Kwon Soon-woo (104th-Dangjin City Hall) qualified for the US Open for the fifth consecutive year in the middle of the month.
Kwon will face Christopher Eubanks (30th-ranked USA) in the first round.
Meanwhile, Jang Soo-jung fell 0-2 (2-6 4-6) to McCartney Kessler 스포츠토토맨 (363rd-ranked USA) in the second round of women's singles qualifying.
